I am a researcher at the Language Technology lab of the DFKI project office in Berlin.

Since 2008, I've been working in the DiLiA project, together with Günter Neumann and Holmer Hemsen, focussing on information extraction tasks, in particular the extraction of technical terms from scientific documents in digital libraries.

My research interests include Natural Language Processing based on statistical methods and machine learning.

I am also currently working on an introductory book to General Linguistics, together with Hubert Truckenbrodt.
